Council for Korea Medicine Overseas Promotion (CKMP) was established as a joint government-private initiative to promote medical institutions in Korea. It is the official organization for medical tourism that is supported by the Government. At the same time, it functions as the "acting body" for a series of national policies in regards to medical tourism.
The primary purpose of CKMP includes staging Korean healthcare market to the international communities and fostering safe and reliable infrastructure for the quality of care.
Currently over 30 hospitals and specialty clinics joined as a member. Korea Health Industry Development Institute, Korea Tourism Organization and Ministry for Health, Welfare and Family Affaires support every activities of CKMP.
